The incident between Real Madrid midfielder Federico Valverde and Villarreal striker Alex Baena after the Royals lost 3-2 on Matchday 28 of the Spanish League last Saturday has sparked a lot of controversy.

According to Spanish newspaper Marca, “The clash between Fede Valverde and Baena took place after the match, in the parking lot where the visiting team’s bus was parked,” adding that “Valverde punched Baena in the face after an altercation between the two men. .”

And a Spanish newspaper confirmed that Valverde faces a severe sporting penalty if Villarreal, Peña or both decide to file a formal complaint about the incident with the Spanish police or the Spanish Federation’s competition committee.

The newspaper explains that the referee did not include the incident in the match report, given that it took place outside the stadium, and therefore the Spanish Federation does not intervene in such situations.

While the Villarreal club officially announced on Sunday that its player Alex Baena has filed a complaint with the Spanish national police against the Uruguayan Valverde.

Baena, 21, complained on his Twitter account that he was “attacked” with no context or culprit, and tweeted in bold: being very sad because of the attack I was subjected to.”

He added, “I never said that,” referring to an insult to the Valverde family that some say angered the Uruguayan.

The beginning of the dispute between the players dates back to what happened during the quarter-final match of the King’s Cup competition last January.

And the Marka newspaper confirmed that Bina addressed Valverde with harsh words regarding his family in that match.

“Cry now because your son will not be born,” Peña Valverde said at the moment, after a joint ball, when the wife of a Real Madrid player is about to lose her second child.
