According to a recent report from L’Equipe, Karim Benzema is close to signing a new one-year deal with Real Madrid.
It comes on a wave of rampant speculation about the veteran’s future. Both Manchester United and Arsenal have been linked with the intention of signing the Frenchman, but so far there has been no official confirmation one way or the other.
Benzema has spent a lot of time establishing himself as one of Real Madrid’s greatest strikers and it looks like he wants to keep that trend going rather than trying his hand in the Premier League.
