Real Madrid in Talks with Immersed Coach as Surprising Ancelotti Replacement

The press report stated that the management of the Real Madrid club had contacted the Italian Roberto De Zerbi, the coach of the English club Brighton, to replace his compatriot Carlo Ancelotti, the coach of the Merengues, next season.

Carlo Ancelotti’s (64) contract with Real Madrid expires next summer and reports say he has already signed training contracts with the Brazil national team.

According to Spanish newspaper Sport, Real Madrid president Florentino Perez believes Italian Roberto De Zerbi (44) is the ideal person to lead the youth project following the departure of his compatriot Ancelotti.

The newspaper indicated that Real Madrid have already contacted De Zerbe, who heads one of the most high-profile projects in the English Premier League, but negotiations are still at a preliminary stage.

Perez believes that De Zerbe is ready to make a big leap in his career and move on to coaching at one of the top clubs.

Perez is banking on De Zerbe’s skill in recent years in identifying new talent and restoring the shine of players who were far from their best.
