Spaniard Sergio Ramos, defender of the French football club Paris Saint-Germain, sent a message to the American businessman Elon Musk, the owner of Twitter, despite the fact that he did not remove the blue tick from the Spanish account.
Recently, Elon Musk removed the blue mark for celebrity account verification from several accounts in order to force those who want them to pay a monthly subscription.
And who wants to get a blue mark on the Twitter platform, is required to pay a monthly subscription of $ 8 to manage the company.
But Ramos was among the celebrities who didn’t remove the blue checkmark from their accounts on the site.
And Ramos wrote a letter in which he mentioned Elon Musk about the work policy to be followed on Twitter in the coming period after the recent changes, in which he said: “Removing the blue tick and making people pay for profit is one of the strategies.”
“But it is also necessary to eradicate hatred and encourage respect in order to create a better place,” he added.
The former Real Madrid captain shared with Musk a set of hateful messages he received via his Twitter account, including abusive messages and death threats.
Among the messages that Ramos received: “I wish Sergio Ramos the greatest suffering. The happiest 4 days of my life will be when Ramos and Pilar Romeo – his wife – and his first son, and then his second son will die.”
In another message, a fan of the Spanish star addressed insulting words: “Ramos, I dream that your mother, sister and daughter are dead.
🤔 @elonmusk, getting rid of blue badges, forcing payments, and making money is one strategy. Eliminate hatred, promote respect and ensure @twitter the best place may be different. I’m just saying… pic.twitter.com/0l7cWsPi9t
