Southampton boss Ralph Hasenhuttl exposes that Danny Ings will undergo a scan on his injured knee on Monday.
Southampton boss Ralph Hasenhuttl has exposed that Danny Ings will undergo a scan on Monday to identify the level of the knee injury that he suffered against Aston Rental Property.
The 28-year-old was required off in the latter phases of his team’s 4-3 win after landing awkwardly in a crash with Trezeguet
Ings has two times suffered ACL injuries during his expert career, and Hasenhuttl has recommended that the in-form striker might now be set for another duration on the sidelines.
“Danny (Ings) hurt his knee but we hope it’s not too bad, it didn’t look good at the time,” Hasenhuttl informed press reporters. “He overstretched his knee and this is always dangerous and he was immediately shouting, ‘my knee, my knee’. He will have a scan tomorrow.”
Ings has remained in exceptional form for the Saints during the 2020-21 campaign, scoring 5 times in 7 Premier League appearances, consisting of a strike at Rental property Park on Sunday.
Southampton are next in action at home to Newcastle United on November 6.
