Qatari club Al-Sadd have declared the transfer of their defender Abdul Karim Hassan to Kuwaiti club Al-Jahra illegal, stressing that the administration has instructed the club’s legal committees to initiate procedures to protect his rights.

Al-Sadd released a statement saying: “Due to the recent news announced by the Kuwaiti company Al-Jahra Club and the signing of player Abdul Karim Hasan, Al-Sadd Club would like to clarify and confirm that the player has retired. his contract early with Al-Sadd Club unilaterally without good reason or justification.”

He added: “Based on the foregoing, Al-Sadd Club has authorized the legal department to take legal action against the player Abdul Karim Hasan and any other club in order to safeguard the club’s rights and interests.”

On 21 December, Al-Sadd announced the final removal of Hassan from the first team roster, citing “the mindset of a Qatari international that is not in line with the goals and aspirations of the team in the next phase.”

Hasan cited the expulsion decision as a legal rationale that allows him to move to another club after the suspension decision was seen as a kind of freeze that violated FIFA rules.

And the Al Jahra club officially announced the inclusion of Hasan with a contract that is extended until the end of the current season, at a time when the Qatari Federation announced an indefinite suspension of the player, as well as a financial fine against him in the amount of up to 200 thousand Qatari riyals ( about 55 thousand US dollars), based on the report sent by the Department of National Teams to the General Secretariat of the Federation.
