On Wednesday, Kuwaiti club Al Jahra officially announced the signing of Qatari international footballer Abdul Karim Hassan from Al Sadd, without revealing the details of the deal.
Despite the secrecy of the details, Al Jahra club president Khaled Al Jarallah told Agence France-Presse: “We thank God for completing this huge deal, which will benefit not only our team, but the Kuwaiti league as a whole. The contract was concluded after contact with the player’s lawyer and his agent, and we felt the touch. The hand is the desire to play and his will to choose our club. We, as sports officials in the country, are delighted that player Abdul Kareem Hasan has joined Al Jahra.
He added: “We hope to achieve the goal of this transfer and improve our level in local competitions, and we promise fans other deals.”
Al-Jarallah refused to talk about the amount of the transaction, indicating only its duration, which is one year.
Al Jahra is currently ranked fourth in the local league, noting that it was eliminated from the competition for the Crown Prince’s Cup and Prince’s Cup at the start of the current season.
Hasan, 29, was selected as the best player in Asia in 2018, he won the 2011 AFC Champions League with Al Sadd and with his country the 2019 Asian Cup, and he played with him at the last World Cup in Qatar.
And the Qatari Federation announced in late December that Hasan had been suspended indefinitely, deducted half of his financial contributions and fined 200,000 Qatari riyals (about $55,000).
Prior to that, Al Sadd also announced in December that its defender was permanently removed from its first team roster, citing “a player’s mindset that is not in line with the goals and aspirations of the team in the next phase.”
But informed sources confirmed to Agence France-Presse at the time that the reason for the player’s exclusion was that he had provoked fans on social media by posting a photo of him after Qatar lost 1-3 to Senegal at the 2022 World Cup. Cup, whose behavior was considered inadequate, as the player was found to be inadequate. Interested in her angry feelings of loss.
