Press Report Identifies Successor to Ancelotti at Real Madrid – Former Player Revealed

Spanish Radio Marca reported that Real Madrid have decided on their preferred candidate to replace Italian Carlo Ancelotti, the current coach of the Royal team, starting from the start of next season.

Radio Marca has reported that Spaniard Xabi Alonso, coach of German club Bayer Leverkusen, has emerged as the preferred candidate to replace Carlo Ancelotti on Real Madrid’s bench starting next season.

Ancelotti’s contract with Real Madrid expires at the end of the current season, and the veteran Italian coach’s name is strongly linked with his move to coach Brazil.

Spanish radio noted that Real Madrid management is not concerned about Alonso’s lack of significant training experience.

Italian journalist Fabrizio Romano, an expert in the player transfer market, published through his account on the X platform Ancelotti’s previous statements about Xabi Alonso: β€œI coached Xavi and he is doing a great job at Bayer Leverkusen.”

He understands the game well, which is why he is a very good coach.

I hope Xabi Alonso, Raul and Alvaro Arbeloa become Real Madrid coaches one day. “I love them all.”

Xabi Alonso (41 years old) spent 6 seasons at the Santiago Bernabeu as a player, winning the Spanish League title with the royal team in 2012 and the European Champions League in 2014.

Radio Marca reported that Alonso attracted interest from Tottenham before the latter signed Ange Postecoglou, but the Spanish coach promised to continue at Leverkusen and signed a 3-year contract extension.
