Premier League’s Unprecedented Achievement Within Reach for Salah

Egyptian star Mohamed Salah came close to achieving an unprecedented achievement in the English Premier League after scoring three goals during Liverpool’s 3-0 victory over Leicester City yesterday Monday.

Salah scored the first and second goals of his colleague Curtis Jones in the 33rd and 36th minutes, and the third – Trent Alexander-Arnold (71).

According to the Liverpool Echo website, Salah now needs to score one goal to become the first player in the history of the English Premier League to score at least 20 goals and provide at least 10 assists in three different seasons.

Salah has scored 19 goals and provided 10 assists this season, so he needs to score one goal in the next two rounds to set the record.

The Liverpool Echo indicated that the Egyptian star had previously scored 20 goals (at least) and provided 10 assists (at least) in the 2017-2018 and 2021-2022 seasons.

Arsenal legend Thierry Henry has also succeeded in achieving Salah’s two-season achievement, but the Egyptian star will surpass him if he scores one goal in his remaining two matches for Liverpool this season.

Liverpool have two league games left this season, the first at home against Aston Villa next Saturday, then ending their season with a visit to Southampton, which fell to the league’s 28th title this season.
