    Premier League News: Arsenal remain enthusiastic about Wolves star Ruben Neves

    Arsenal are thrilled to sign Ruben Neves from Premier League rivals Wolverhampton Wanderers in the summer transfer window, according to The sun. It has been reported by the British tabloid that Neves agent Jorge Mendes is still in contact with Arsenal technical director Edu over a move for the Portuguese international this summer.

    Mikel Arteta’s Arsenal want to sign Neves as a potential replacement for Granit Xhaka. The Swiss national team midfielder has been linked to moving to AS Roma to work with former Tottenham Hotspur manager Jose Mourinho. The Gunners have identified Neves as the player to replace Xhaka in the squad and become Thomas Partey’s midfield mate.

    Wolves want £ 35m as a transfer tax for Neves, which is a problem for Arsenal. The Gunners don’t want to pay for that sun. Arsenal’s arch rivals in north London, Tottenham Hotspur, are also interested in Neves.
