According to a recent report by Sport, Lionel Messi could leave Paris Saint-Germain this summer in favor of Major League Soccer.
The report in question indicates that in an incredibly unique deal, all 29 clubs can contribute to his salary to make him a hit in the US market.
The Argentine veteran had already run the GOAT run before the World Championships, but now that he was able to win it, his shares have skyrocketed.
Of course, he will turn 36 in June, but it seems that he still has something left in the tank – both domestically and internationally.
In the meantime, MLS is in the market to further expand its league, especially with just over three years left before the 2026 World Cup in North America.
There is real potential for him to go there, and in the eyes of many fans and pundits, it would be much more acceptable than Cristiano Ronaldo’s trip to Saudi Arabia.
