Granit Xhaka to leave Arsenal this summer London World. The Swiss international has apparently already told manager Mikel Arteta of his desire and Arteta will not stand in his way if the player wants it. The 30-year-old is believed to be eager to return to Germany and Bayer Leverkusen have expressed interest in signing him.
Xhaka has certainly played a major role in Arsenal’s effort to win the Premier League title this year, which, however, looks doomed for now. However, a return to the Champions League six years from now will still be important and with the way they play in this competition in mind, the Gunners are already looking to replace Xhaka with a player who will improve their current midfield.
Arsenal failed to snatch Moises Caicedo from Brighton & Hove Albion in January and their interest remains strong and they have also been closely linked to West Ham star Declan Rice.
