According to Spanish press reports, French club Paris Saint-Germain are keen to sign a contract with Barcelona in order to keep Argentine Lionel Messi.
Relations between the world champions and the French club have escalated in recent times and the player’s name has been linked to leaving the club at the end of the current season in light of the strong interests of Saudi Al-Hilal and Spanish club Barcelona’s efforts to bring him back to the Catalan side.
According to El Nacional newspaper, the Parisian club is interested in securing the services of Dutch player Frenkie de Jong, a Barcelona player, in order to convince Messi to stay.
The newspaper also added that Paris Saint-Germain was ready to make an offer worth 75 million euros to Barcelona to convince the Catalan club to drop the player.
