    Paris Saint-Germain discovers Mbappe’s successor in Portugal

    French club Paris Saint-Germain are close to signing Benfica striker Gonzalo Ramos to replace the potential departure of French striker Kylian Mbappe during the current transfer period.

    According to Spanish newspaper AS, Paris Saint-Germain have completely terminated the agreement with Gonzalo Ramos and are now in talks with Benfica to agree on the amount that the Portuguese striker will transfer.

    Italian journalist Fabrizio Romano, an expert on the player transfer market in Europe, wrote on his Twitter account: “Paris Saint-Germain is close to a deal with Gonzalo Ramos! The agreement is very close, the final details of the deal are being specified. and it could be completed this week.”

    He added: “80 million euros is the price of the deal for Benfica, including bonuses. Ramos agreed to a contract until June 2028. We are expected here very soon.”

    Gonzalo Ramos delivered an outstanding season with Benfica, where he appeared in 47 matches in various competitions during the last season and was able to score 27 goals in addition to scoring another 12 goals, while he became famous for scoring a hat-trick against Switzerland in a Portugal jersey, in the final of the Qatar 2022 World Cup, after participating mainly at the expense of legend Cristiano Ronaldo, the current Saudi captain of victory.
