    Omar Al Soma expresses gratitude to Al Ahly fans following his return to Jeddah

    Syrian legend Omar Al-Soma expressed his great joy at being “back” in the city of Jeddah after many years spent within the walls of the Saudi Arabian club Al-Ahly.

    Al Soma left Al Ahly in the summer of 2021 after the team was relegated to the First Division Yellow League, where he moved to Al Arabi Qatar on loan and then eventually sold.

    Over the past two days, the Syrian star has returned to the city of Jeddah and appeared at the training session of Qalat al-Raqi, where he is preparing to perform with his country against South Korea in the Asian qualification for the 2026 World Cup. Cup.

    On this occasion, Al-Soma said at a press conference before the match with Korea: “I was born twice… once in Deir ez-Zor and once in Jeddah.”

    Omar Al Somah stressed his great love for Al Ahly fans, stressing that his relationship with them is bigger than football, in response to calls for support for him in the match between Syria and South Korea.
