    Newcastle United Reportedly Eyeing Brentford Striker Ivan Toney

    Newcastle United are interested in signing Ivan Toney from Brentford in the January transfer window, according to reports. Football transfers. The report claims Newcastle manager Eddie Howe wants to sign the goalscorer mid-season and that he personally wants the Magpies to bring in Toney. Newcastle are reportedly considering a bid for him when the transfer window opens in January.

    Tony is currently serving a suspension and will not be able to play until January 2024. The striker was with Newcastle from 2015 to 2018. Tony failed to make much of an impact in the Magpies first team. After loan spells at Barnsley, Wigan Athletic and other clubs, he joined Peterborough United in 2018.

    The England striker made 68 Premier League appearances during his career. In these games, Tony scored 32 goals and provided nine assists.
