Napoli v Salernitana match rescheduled as Serie A fixture changes due to postponement

The Serie A match between Napoli and Salernitana this weekend has been postponed by one day due to public safety concerns.

The Parthenopei were supposed to play on Saturday but will now take to the pitch at the Diego Armando Maradona Stadium on Sunday instead.

The move comes as Luciano Spalletti’s side are poised to win the Scudetto if Lazio fail to beat Inter at the San Siro during an earlier match on the same day.

However, Serie A’s decision to postpone the match caused further shuffling of Napoli’s fixture list, which affected their game against Udinese.

The game was originally supposed to take place on Tuesday, but now the game is played two days later on Thursday, which could be their first game as champions.

It also means that Udinese have suffered yet another postponement: their clash with Sampdoria has been postponed by a day from Sunday’s week to next Monday.
