Mount Allegedly Favors Manchester United Over Other Clubs – Latest Football Updates

Mason Mount’s future at Chelsea is still uncertain. The London Blues have been unable to convince him to sign a new contract and his current one expires next year. Several clubs, both in the Premier League and abroad, are aware of the situation and are interested in his services.

Just two months ago, reports from a number of reasonably credible journalists suggested that Liverpool were leading the race for the services of the 24-year-old England international, but now David Ornstein of Athletic reveals that Mount actually prefers Manchester United as his destination, and the other suitors have been informed of this.

Despite a recent statement by Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp, it looks like his side will almost certainly fail to qualify for the Champions League.

This, of course, is still a long way off. Chelsea have yet to open the door for Mount to leave and new manager Mauricio Pochettino wants the player to be in his ranks next season. The potential transfer price has yet to be revealed, but it will affect United’s willingness to do so.
