President of Zamalek club Mortada Mansour said that it was decided to appoint the former coach of the Portuguese team Giswaldo Ferreira to a new position in the club.
Last Tuesday, the board of directors of the Zamalek club dismissed Ferreira from his post as manager due to poor results.
Mortada Mansour has decided to appoint him to his new position, as he said in a televised address on the Zamalek Club channel on Friday: “I invited the members of the council to honor Ferreira and it was decided to appoint him as an adviser. to the club’s football board to benefit from his experience.”
He added: “We are waiting for Ferreira’s approval of the board’s decision, and that is his right, and Amir Mortada Mansour, Inspector General of Football, is constantly talking to him.”
And he continued: “Zamalek is close to signing a striker and a midfielder and there will be 3 deals before the end of the current winter transfer period.”
Regarding the resignation of the Egyptian Football Association Disciplinary Committee, Mansour said: “We express our gratitude and salute the Egyptian Football Association Disciplinary Committee, headed by adviser Mohamed Abdo Saleh, after he submitted his resignation and learned about the mistake he made.”
Zamalek, the reigning champion, is fifth in the league with 26 points.
