Morocco Advances to Africa Cup of Juniors Final with Victory Over Mali

Morocco’s under-17 team reached the final of the Africa Cup of Nations, held in Algeria, for the first time in its history, after beating Mali 6-5 in the semi-finals on penalties.

The match ended in a goalless draw at the original time, so both teams decided on penalties, in which the Atlas Cubs were lucky.

The Moroccan national team will play in the final match scheduled for next Friday against their Senegalese counterpart, who qualified at the expense of Burkina Faso, also thanks to a penalty shoot-out, after a 1-1 draw.

This is the first time that Morocco and Senegal have reached the final of the Junior African Cup of Football since the competition was established in 1995.
