A Spanish journalist has revealed how close Croatian Luka Modric, Real Madrid’s first football team player, was close to leaving his current team to join Saudi Arabia’s Al-Nasr.
Al-Alami is looking to bolster its ranks by including the 37-year-old Croatian during upcoming summer transfers, thus playing against Portuguese legend Cristiano Ronaldo.
And a press source said that the yellow team will increase the value of the contract that will be offered to Luca in order to settle the deal in favor of Al-Alami.

And according to what was published by the French network “Foot Mercato”, according to what the journalist Santi Una said: “The extension of Modric’s contract is not a problem for anyone inside the club.”
He continued, “Except for what’s inside, this topic makes a lot of people think. At the moment, Modric is doing well and if he continues to show outstanding results, his contract will be renewed without any problems.
He added: “Real Madrid will not impose anything on Modric. The Spanish club will make a contract extension offer if Modric feels he can still contribute to the development of the club.
And he continued: “Modric’s adviser maintains good relations with Al-Nasr Saudi Arabia, as well as with its sports director Goran Vucevic.”
And he stressed: “Now the prevailing trend is that Modric will leave Real Madrid this summer, a victory will be the likely destination.”
