Cristian Arango scored home a dramatic 93rd-minute winner as LAFC won the Battle of the LA Conference semi-final 3-2 over LA Galaxy in the MLS Cup on Thursday.

Arango’s goal ended a wild last 15 minutes with three goals in the game at the Bank of California Stadium, with Galaxy substitute Devan Jovelic equalizing in the 85th minute.

The victory means the Western Conference top-seed LAFC team advanced to the Conference Finals, where they will host either Dallas or Austin.

LAFC took the lead in the 23rd minute when Carlos Vela eluded Denis Buange’s pass and scored clinically, but Galaxy equalized before half-time when Samuel Grandseer landed a ricochet shot.
