Christian Makoun converted a penalty in added time when Inter Miami in David Beckham form beat Toronto 1-0 in 10 men in MLS.

With Tuesday’s game looking set to equalize, Inter Miami’s Makoun stepped forward and scored a penalty in the 95th minute.

Undefeated in six games, Inter Miami – owned by former Manchester United, Real Madrid and England star Beckham – won three straight games for the first time in their history when they moved into the play-off positions of the Eastern Conference.

Toronto only had 15 points from 23 games they took part in the matchup. Only five teams in MLS history have had fewer points at this stage of a season, most recently DC United in 2013 (13).
