Market: Los Angeles wins
Chance: 5/4 @ 888sport
Looking to score three straight MLS midweek wins, Los Angeles will make the journey to a struggling Austin in the early hours of Thursday morning.
Starting with the hosts, while Austin may have managed to get a much-needed push against Portland last month, the latest MLS franchise is truly back on the ground. Still sitting at the back of the Western Conference and staked as a winning pick to lift the wooden spoon this season, Head Coach Josh Wolff finds his team in the middle of a real nightmare. Last seen over the weekend during another grim performance, the Green and Blacks were hit with a 3-0 lead in Houston. Now that he has lost each of his last three matchups per lap and only managing to pick up three points in his last seven fights, Wolff will have a real headache from his team’s obvious problems in the back. Including leaving in August with an action-packed 5-3 loss at home to Dallas, the hosts scored 10 goals in their three straight losses on Thursday.
As for the visitors, while Los Angeles may have signed August in the midst of their own struggle, the Whites find themselves enjoying what has been a recent boost. With their goals now firmly set to clinch a spot in the Final Series this season, Head Coach Bob Bradley saw his team put in another action-packed deal over the weekend. Ultimately, scoring a 3-2 win over Real Salt Lake at home, the former United States manager saw his team pick up seven points in their last three MLS games. By managing to find a way to consolidate their 4-0 win over Sporting KC on 4 September, LAFC are also expected to benefit from their latest match against the hosts on Thursday. When the two teams last met in July, Bradley’s men picked up a well-deserved 2-0 win in Austin. Given the recent class gap, we are claiming an attractive away win here.
