With another schedule stacked up by all of MLS mid-week, we definitely have a noteworthy match-up series worth keeping an eye on. On this note, for those of you looking to keep fluttering on Thursdays, we’ve found a handful of helpful tips.

Thursday 22 July 22

BST 00:30 Columbus Crew vs Nashville SC

Starting with the hosts on Thursday, while once again they may not have been at their best over the weekend, Columbus reaped what was a much-appreciated home win. Eventually, by winning 2-1 against New York City last time around, the Loons ended their MLS four-game winless streak. After taking their first win in the last month and still in pole position to take another place in the Final Series this season, Caleb Porter’s men have continued to impress on home soil. Including a 2-1 win over NYCFC over the weekend, The Crew have collected 13 points in their last five MLS matches at Lower.com Field. However, it should be noted, out of those five consecutive home games, four of those meetings ended up with both teams finding the net. On the other hand, considering what was a clinical indicator last time around, there’s no doubt that Nashville has continued to impress many this season. Capturing a resounding 5-1 against Chicago, the Yellows are enjoying a five-game unbeaten run and have skyrocketed to the Final Series seats. Earning a reputation for their lively results and scoring seven goals in their consecutive MLS contests, don’t be shocked to see opportunities at both ends here.

Tip: Both teams will score @ 10/11

00:30 Inter Miami vs New England Revolution

Hint: New England Revolution win @ 5/4

00:30 New York City vs Montreal

While New England may have endured a worrying period of form when he headed in July, the Revs will be desperate to prove that this was just a minor inconvenience. Managing to make what was a welcome return to victory over the weekend, Bruce Arena’s side were last seen with a 1-0 win over former Atlanta away champions. Finding the necessary impetus and sniffing a golden opportunity to win two straight MLS victories midweek, the Boston team have made a number of improvements since the 2021 campaign opening. Losing a spot in the Final Series last season, the men of the Arena have skyrocketed to the top of the Eastern Conference. Opening midweek matches with a four-point buffer in the title chase, New England also has an offensive MVP that enjoys a true purple patch. Once again winning against Atlanta over the weekend, Gustavo Bou has scored six goals in his last seven games. On the other hand, after seeing the weekend’s showdown against the Red Bulls being scrapped due to a weather alert, Inter Miami had even more time to sit down on a terrible run of form. Given the last time he was hit by a 1-0 loss to Montreal, the pressure is really building on Phil Neville. In the midst of a five-game losing streak and one hit in that horror streak, we’re aiming for an away win here.

Tip: double chance in Montreal @ 7/4
