Market: Inter Miami double chance
Chance: 7/10 @ 888sport
Sniffing the chance to extend their recent purple patch early Wednesday, a high-flying Inter Miami will make the trip to Toronto midweek.
Starting with the hosts, while Toronto may have managed to clinch a silver medal in the Eastern Conference last season, the Reds are in the midst of an MLS nightmare. In what was another extremely troubling performance over the weekend, Javier Pérez’s side have been hit by a terrible 2-0 away defeat to Cincinnati and the pressure is reaching boiling point. Sitting at the bottom of the leaderboard and with that gap only growing from week to week, Toronto is suffering a five-game losing streak and has earned a reputation for its rather noticeable problems in the back. Without a win to their name in any of their last eight straight games, a run that dates back to July 2, even Wednesday’s hosts should be worried about their last fight against Miami. When the two sides met last month, Pérez’s side were hit with a well-deserved 3-1.
As for the visitors, while Toronto may find itself in the midst of a real nightmare, the same cannot be said for a top-tier Inter Miami side. Despite initially struggling to find their feet under Head Coach Phil Neville, the Herons are now enjoying what has become a very eye-catching purple patch. Skyrocketing in the Eastern Conference rankings and aiming now to clinch a spot in the Final Series, the former Manchester United defender was once again full of praise for his team’s performance over the weekend. Picking up a 1-0 win over Columbus Crew on home turf, Miami has picked up 13 points in their last five MLS matches alone. On the run to that 3-1 win when they welcomed Toronto to DRV PNK Stadium last month, a double chance here appears at attractive odds.
