Market: Colorado Rapids wins
Chance: 4/6 @ 888sport
Looking to return to victory early Thursday morning, Colorado will welcome Dallas to Dick’s Sporting Goods Park.
Starting with the hosts, having fielded what was an eye-catching display last weekend, there’s no doubt that Colorado would have been disappointed to have picked up just one point. Dominating big bouts when they welcomed San Jose to Dick’s Sporting Goods Park on Sunday, the Rapids ultimately had to settle for a 1-1 draw. However, considered an overwhelming choice with many to get another spot in the Final Series this season, Robin Fraser’s team have only lost a couple of their last 10 MLS matches, a run that dates back to late April. Knowing they have a golden opportunity in the early hours of Thursday, Colorado should be strengthened by their continued success on national soil. Despite having to settle for a point last time against The Earthquakes, the midweek hosts are unbeaten in each of their last six consecutive home games.
As for the visitors, while Dallas may have stunned many when they picked up that 2-1 away win to New England as it approached June, it looks like it was just a little push for the Toros. Left with more heartbreak over the weekend, as they were ultimately hit by a 1-0 away defeat to Portland, Luchi Gonzalez’s side are at the bottom of the Western Conference. Failing to keep up the momentum after grabbing a spot in the Final Series last season, the Texas-based team knows they will face another tough test when they travel to Colorado mid-week. Having suffered consecutive losses in MLS and with only one win to their name in any of their last 10 straight games, we are backing what should be another home win at Dick’s Sporting Goods Park this week.
