AC Milan have confirmed defender Foday Ballo-Ture will be out for four weeks following shoulder surgery.
The Senegal international, who played for his country at the World Cup, suffered an injury to his right shoulder during the Rossoneri’s friendly against PSV on Friday.
Ballo-Toure joins Milan’s long list of injuries that also includes Zlatan Ibrahimovic, Mike Menian, Rade Krunic, Divock Origi and Alessandro Florenzi.
The club said in a statement: “Milan announces that defender Foday Ballo-Ture today underwent a reduction and synthesis of a dislocated right shoulder at the IRCCS Galeazzi Sant’Ambrogio hospital in Milan.
“The operation, carried out by Dr. Pozzoni and his team in the presence of the doctor of the first team, Lucio Genesio, was completely successful. Time to return to full activity is estimated at four weeks.”
Ballo-Toure has made seven appearances this season for the Rossoneri, who will resume their Scudetto defense against Salernitana when Serie A resumes on Wednesday.
