Milan, Italy reached the semi-finals of the Football Champions League after drawing their compatriot and hosts Napoli 1-1 at the Diego Armando Maradona Stadium in the second leg of the quarter-finals on Tuesday.
Milan opened the scoring thanks to Frenchman Olivier Giroud in the 43rd minute before Napoli equalized thanks to the return of Nigerian Victor Osimhen in the 90+3 minute.
There were two missed penalties in the match, one from Milan, taken by Giroud in the 21st minute, and the Napoli goalkeeper converted it brilliantly.
Despite the draw, Milan secured a spot in the semi-finals of the tournament with a 2–1 aggregate victory over Napoli, capitalizing on their unanswered goal win in the first leg.
Milan will play in the semi-final with the qualifier of another quarter-final between their compatriot Inter and Portugal’s Benfica, who will meet at the Giuseppe Meazza stadium tomorrow, Wednesday, noting that Inter won the first leg 2-0 . .
