Mido’s Record Broken by Mostafa Mohamed

Egyptian striker Mostafa Mohamed came out with a historic achievement in his Nantes team’s 1-2 win against host country Auxerre, which brought them together tonight, Sunday, in the 31st round of the French Football League.

Mostafa Mohamed scored his team’s only goal in the 55th minute of the match.

The Egyptian striker scored his eighth goal in the French league this season as he joined Nantes from Turkey’s Galatasaray on loan this season.

25-year-old Mustafa Mohamed became the most Egyptian player to score goals in the French league, overtaking his compatriot Ahmed Hossam (Mido), who defended the colors of the Marseille club in the season (2003-2004), in terms of the number of goals.

Nantes have suffered their fifth defeat in their last 8 matches, compared to three draws, to stop their scoring at 31 points and drop to fifteenth in the Ligue 1 French First Division.
