Middlesbrough are set to sign Emmanuel Latte Lata from Atalanta in the summer transfer window. TMV. An Italian news report claimed that Lat would fly to England in the next few hours and sign with the Championship club.
TMW said Lat will undergo a physical with Middlesbrough on Monday morning. Boro and Atalanta have agreed in principle on a permanent transfer. Lat will sign a four-year contract with the former Premier League club.
Middlesbrough will pay Atalanta €5m in transfer fees plus €1m in Premier League promotion surcharges. Borough are in the Championship this season and have lost both of their opening games, having been defeated first by Millwall and then by Coventry City. Lat has been on Atalanta’s list since 2016 and is 24 years old.
