The situation around Kylian Mbappe and Paris Saint-Germain is getting more serious every day. The French striker has been left out of the squad for the pre-season tour of Japan, and the Ligue 1 giants have made it clear they only want fully dedicated players for the upcoming season. PSG are reportedly believing that Mbappe has already agreed to join Real Madrid next summer when his contract expires, despite their determination not to lose his services for free.
But Mbappe also remains firm in his stance not to sign a new contract with PSG. Sky Sporthis immediate reaction to being cut from the pre-season tour roster is that he’s willing to stay put until next summer, even if that means sitting on the bench or not playing at all.
If that happens, PSG will still be required to pay the 24-year-old his wages, and as things stand, there is nothing they can do to stop him from achieving his goal of moving to Madrid as a free agent next summer.
