According to several sources, Mason Mount has hired agent Neil Fewings to look after his interests while he tries to figure out his future. The change comes in the midst of uncertainty as his Chelsea contract is about to expire the last 12 months.
The report came from daily mailfirst Matt Hughes and then others confirmed the news.
Negotiations between the club and the player are believed to have stalled and there have been claims that Mount has already said he could leave in the summer if an acceptable offer comes in. London blues spent over £600m for new players last year and it’s unlikely they’ll miss Mount too much.
On the other hand, at the age of 24, the England international boasts a lot of experience at the highest level and would certainly be very useful at another top club. Looking to rebuild their ranks this summer, Liverpool are believed to have a strong interest in Mount. Manchester United and Newcastle were also mentioned in this aspect.
