And reliable journalist Fabrizio Romano has revealed that Manchester City have opened talks with Mateo Kovacic to join him in the summer in light of the player’s contract expiring next season.
He added: Negotiations have been held between the player and his representative with the English club to resolve the issue of the player’s transfer to City, and Chelsea have no objection to the departure of the Croatian player.
Kovacic has made 37 appearances for Chelsea this season, in which the Croatian has managed to score two goals and two more, as well as four goals in a season for the Blues.
