Harry Maguire spoke about the strength of the Manchester United team and said he was ready to play his part in their pre-match game at the end of the season.
England international Maguire has had to largely settle for being an international this season as he has only started six of United’s 29 Premier League matches.
The 30-year-old was promoted to replace Rafael Varane for Saturday’s meeting against Everton and helped United to a clean sheet in their 2-0 win.
United are well positioned to finish in the top four in the Premier League and are also still in contention for silver in the Europa League and FA Cup.
United captain Maguire says there are still 16 games to go this season and every player has a part to play.
“We will never succeed with 11 players,” he told MUTV. “This is the Premier League and we play in all competitions.
“We want to do as much as we can in every competition, win more trophies and compete at the highest level of the Premier League. You need more than 11 players for this.”

United hailed the return of Christian Eriksen after a two-month injury absence against Everton and Anthony Martial hastened his recovery with a goal from the bench.
Not only does this reinforce Erik ten Hag’s choice in midfield and attack, Maguire believes it also helps to get more out of other players due to the increased competition for places.
“To get Christian back, Anthony, they are very important to us, very important to the team,” he said.
“They can make a difference from the bench, they can start games and it just gives everyone a little more energy knowing that the competition for places is high.
“We have a good squad to handle the demands that are placed on us in the games we have to play.”
Martial scored his fourth league goal of the season in a routine victory over Everton after Scott McTominay gave United a first-half lead at Old Trafford.
In particular, United dominated the first half but scored only one goal, although Maguire believes it was his team’s best first 45 minutes of the season to date.
“There were a few good halves – for example, the second half against Barcelona – but the first half [against Everton]I would probably say that this is the strongest,” Maguire said.
“If we had gone 4-0 at half-time, I don’t think anyone would have complained. But the Premier League is never comfortable. Should be comfortable, that’s for sure.
“I think we totally deserve the three points. The only thing that was probably missing was more goals.”
United will host Sevilla in the first leg of the Europa League quarter-finals on Thursday, while Brighton and Hove Albion are looking forward to the FA Cup semi-finals on 23 April.
