“We need to be together in the same way, we want to be better. In football, you have to want to improve your performance and your team. This also applies to investments,” Lopetegui said.
“I’m going to have a long meeting with our chairman to hear from him and see what ideas he has for next year. This will be key for me.”
Wolverhampton manager Julen Lopetegui has made it clear that he believes investment is needed to take the club to the next level.
When Lopetegui took over, Wolverhampton were bottom of the Premier League table at Christmas with just 10 points. They are now safe in the top flight for another year and are looking forward to what could be a huge summer transfer window.
The senior understands the quality he has at his disposal and now a way must be found to bring the club back into the first half and fight for Europe again.
