Liverpool’s Manager Shares His Thoughts on Salah’s Failed Penalty

Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp of Germany has admitted that his team did not do enough to avoid losing 0-1 to Bournemouth on Saturday, the opening of the 27th round of the English Premier League.

Klopp told BT Sport: “What can I say?

And he continued, “The rest were somewhat busy covering other spaces. It is clear that we could not advance with all the balls, it seemed that this was not possible. Little things make a big difference.”

Regarding the penalty that Egyptian club Liverpool star Mohamed Salah carelessly kicked outside the net, Klopp said: “The last penalty we got in the league was a long time ago… it (kick) doesn’t make performance better, but it can like least change the outcome.

Klopp added: “Salah scores a lot of goals but missed a penalty. That’s life”.

And statistics network Squaka said that Salah was the first time in the English Premier League that he converted a penalty outside the goal line.

After this defeat, Liverpool’s balance sheet froze at 42 points and remained in fifth place, while Bournemouth increased their balance sheet to 24 points and temporarily moved up to 16th place.
