French newspaper L’Equipe has confirmed that the Liverpool administration is interested in bringing Paris Saint-Germain striker Kylian Mbappé on board, although his arrival could spark a crisis with his Egyptian star Mohamed.

And Ekip reported that the Liverpool administration was interested in the possibility of including Mbappe in the summer of 2022 and exploiting tensions between the player and his club before renewing his contract.

She added that Liverpool officials had realized that Mbappe’s deal was a loser because of the French star’s monthly salary.

The newspaper pointed out that Mbappe receives 6 million euros as a monthly salary, which is 5 times the salary of Salah on his new contract with Liverpool, meaning that the arrival of Mbappe would provoke a crisis with the Egyptian pharaoh.

And Ekip confirmed that Liverpool have long been interested in including Mbappe, and that the departure of some of the team’s stars could change the minds of Reds officials.

Manchester United were also interested in the possibility of including Mbappe earlier and there is hope of selling the club to Qatari owners to convince the player to move to Old Trafford.

Clian Mbappe (23)’s contract with the Parisian team is set to expire in the summer of 2024 and it has been strongly reported that he is inclined not to activate a clause extending him for a third season until 2025.
