Moroccan international Naif Akrad, a defender for English football club West Ham United, is receiving strong interest from Liverpool and Manchester City, according to newspaper reports.
British newspaper The Sun has indicated that Liverpool are believed to be the team most interested in player Nayef Akrad, given that German Jurgen Klopp, the Reds’ technical director, is keen to rebuild his defensive line following a midfield overhaul within the Reds. The newspaper explained that the quality of Nayef Akrad (27) attracted the attention of Klopp, who suffers from the advanced age of Dutch center backs Virgil van Dijk and Cameroonian Joel Matip (32 each).
The Sun reported that the Moroccan defender could have moved to the Saudi League this summer, but talks fell through.
