According to the French newspaper Le Parisien, after the return of Lionel from the last World Cup tournament, which was held in Qatar, the player agreed with the team management to extend the current contract for another season.
The newspaper added that the Argentine had asked for a fictitious salary of 37 million euros, and the Paris club’s management surprised the request, which was denied.
