Leipzig determined to retain Guardiola until 2024.

RB Leipzig have no intention of selling sought-after defender Yosko Guardiola this summer, the player himself said after his side’s Champions League clash with Manchester City, and German journalist Florian Plettenberg has since confirmed the claim.

The news will come as a blow to a number of top clubs who are believed to have been keeping a close eye on Guardiol for the idea of signing him. Manchester City, Real Madrid, Chelsea and Liverpool are the clubs most often mentioned in this aspect, with the player himself recently calling the latter his “dream move”.

Apparently, the Bundesliga club is so determined to keep the 21-year-old Croatia international until at least 2024 that even an offer of 100 million euros for his services won’t change their minds.

Guardiol joined Leipzig from Dinamo Zagreb in 2021 for a reported fee of around €19m and has represented the club 78 times, scoring five goals. He played a big part in Croatia’s impressive World Cup campaign, earning his country a bronze medal.
