Real Madrid goalkeeper Thibaut Courtois has been ruled out of action after suffering an injury against Belgium during the international break.
The 30-year-old played 90 minutes when Belgium lost 1-0 to the Netherlands in a Nations League game last Sunday but appeared to be feeling uncomfortable during the game.
Madrid will host Osasuna in La Liga on Sunday when they return to action after their final international break before November’s World Cup but are left without their star goalkeeper.
The Spanish and European champions released a statement ahead of the Osasuna clash saying that Courtois had a hernia.
However, Carlo Ancelotti’s side have not confirmed how long Courtois will be out due to a back injury as Real Madrid await the results of a scan of the former Chelsea player.
Courtois remains the only player to have played every minute of the season for Madrid so far who hasn’t lost this campaign, but that streak will end and Andrey Lunin is expected to replace him.
