Spanish star Jordi Alba has revealed the reason for his departure from Barcelona during the upcoming summer transfer window.

Barcelona are hoping to provide up to 200 million euros to keep financial fair play, especially as the Catalan club is in the midst of an economic crisis.
In addition, Barça want to reinstate their former star, Argentinean Lionel Messi, the French player for Paris Saint-Germain, during the upcoming summer transfer period.
And according to what Catalan journalist Gerard Romero revealed via his Twitter short tweet account, he posted a video clip of Blaugrana left-back star Jordi Alba announcing the end of his career with the team.

It is worth noting that the 34-year-old football player moved to Barcelona in 2012 from Valencia and took part in 457 matches in all competitions, scoring 27 goals and giving 99 assists.

The star of the Catalan club spoke, explaining the reason for his departure, saying: “It was a considered decision. When I said I wanted to stay, it was true. To be honest with myself and with the club, I think it’s best to retire now.

And he added: “I wanted to fulfill my contract, but this season was a minor league. I would help the youth, and I am sure that this team has a future.”
He continued: “I have always tried to help the club. This is the best solution for all parties. My relationship with everyone is exceptional. I go easy, I gave everything. I will leave with my head held high.”
He explained: “Nothing will happen to another club today because I was going to stay at Barça.
And he stressed: “The President and Xavi gave me the opportunity to make a decision, and I did it.”
And the Blaugrana left-back said: “Sometimes I can be wrong, but whoever knows me knows what my principles are: humility and work.”
He added: “I have always tried to help the club. My departure was the best option for all parties, and my relationship with everyone was special. I leave with good emotions, I gave everything for the club and I leave with my head held high.
He concluded: “I’m Cooley, this is the club of my life. I’ve been here for 18 years. It’s going to be tough, but I’m leaving with my head held high.”
