It’s official.. Arsenal have extended the contract with their Egyptian player Al-Nani

Arsenal, the leaders of the English Premier League, announced today, Tuesday, the contract extension of their Egyptian player Mohamed Elneni for an additional season until the summer of 2024.

“The club announces the extension of the contract of Mohamed Elneni until June 2024,” Arsenal said in a statement on the official website.

He added: “30-year-old Elneni is highly respected and experienced in the team and is currently the player with the longest career since joining us from Basel, Switzerland in the winter of 2016.”

“The Egyptian has made 155 appearances for Arsenal in all competitions, scoring six goals and providing 10 assists in his seven years at the club,” the statement said.

For his part, Al-Nani wrote on his official Twitter account: “A new chapter begins in my journey with Arsenal. I just signed a new contract. For me, Arsenal is not just a club that I joined seven years ago.”

He added: “I am proud to represent this great club since 2016. The spirit and teamwork that we have now in our team is very positive and I am happy to extend my contract.”

Al-Nani is currently recovering from a serious knee injury as he successfully underwent surgery in London and will be missing matches for a long time this season.
