Chelsea are ready to cash in on Trevo Chalobah mid-season amid interest from London and Premier League rivals Tottenham Hotspur, reports Football Insider. Chelsea boss Mauricio Pochettino does not have Chalobah in his plans and he could leave in the January transfer window. Spurs are planning a move.
Chalobah, who can play as a central defender or defensive midfielder, has been with Chelsea since 2007 and came through the Blues’ youth academy. The Englishman has made 45 Premier League appearances throughout his career, scoring three goals, providing one assist and keeping 13 clean sheets in those games.
Chelsea currently sit 10th in the Premier League table with 16 points from 10 matches, a full 10 points behind Tottenham Hotspur. Spurs are in fourth place and two points behind leaders and defending champions Manchester City.
