According to a recent report by Gazzetta dello Sport, Inter Milan are preparing a surprise offer to sign Roberto Firmino.
The Liverpool star, who has been at the club since joining from Hoffenheim in 2015, is set to leave Anfield at the end of the current campaign. While he can still make waves for the Reds, he is no longer the guaranteed first team player he once was.
Inter Milan, meanwhile, had a mixed campaign. They are still alive in both the Coppa Italia and the Champions League, but they are floundering in fifth position in Serie A.
They clearly want to step up when we get to the summer transfer window and Firmino is the one they have their eye on.
The Brazilian is only 31 years old, and one would imagine that he could make a bigger impact in Italy than in England over the past few years.
