Indecent Exposure Charges Not Pursued Against Kyle Walker

Manchester City and England defender Kyle Walker will not be prosecuted for the alleged indecent exposure incident.

Cheshire Police launched an investigation after Walker was shown in CCTV footage released by The Sun with friends at a location where he had apparently dropped his trousers.

The newspaper claimed that Walker exposed himself indecently, and the incident reportedly took place on 5 March.

However, on Friday, Cheshire Police said the case was closed after Walker voluntarily reported to the police station on Thursday.

“On Wednesday, March 8, Cheshire Police became aware of a video circulated on social media in connection with an alleged incident at a bar in the Wilmslow area,” the widely circulated statement said.

“Officers have completed their investigations, including talking to direct participants. On March 16, a 32-year-old man from Prestbury voluntarily appeared at the police station for questioning.

“An out-of-court order was taken with him and the case is now closed.”

An out-of-court order is a solution that can be used to deal with low level offending.

Walker was included in Gareth Southgate’s England 25-man squad on Thursday for the upcoming Euro 2024 qualifiers against Italy and Ukraine.
