Ian Wright: ‘Bruno Fernandes could contribute to Ole Gunnar Solskjaer dismissal’

Former Arsenal striker Ian Wright states that Manchester United attacker Bruno Fernandes could contribute to Red Devils boss Ole Gunnar Solskjaer losing his task.

Former Arsenal striker Ian Wright has claimed that Manchester United attacker Bruno Fernandes could play a leading role in Ole Gunnar Solskjaer losing his position as head coach of the English giants.

The speculation surrounding Solskjaer’s future has collected speed following back-to-back beats to Arsenal and Istanbul Basaksehir, with Mauricio Pochettino and Julian Nagelsmann pointed out as possible replacements for the Norwegian.

Wright has claimed that “ambitious players” at the club, consisting of January arrival Fernandes, will start to increase the pressure if the bad results continue.

“What you’ll find is, especially the ambitious players – the ones who want to get to where Man United are supposed to be. What you’ll start hearing out of there is you’ll start hearing things from people,” Wright informed BBC Sport.

” The players will start stating things due to the fact that they desire a manager who’s going to press them. Bruno Fernandes, you’re hearing little bits that he’s not delighted for some factor.

“That’s what’s going to start happening because as much as Ole Gunnar Solskjaer seems like a nice bloke and everybody likes him, you get to a certain level as a player where you’re thinking, ‘that’s not enough for me, I need more than this’.”

United are currently 15th in the Premier League table ahead of Saturday’s journey to Everton, which former Arsenal forward Paul Merson has branded ‘the most significant game of Solskjaer’s supervisory career’.
