A lawyer for Paris Saint-Germain defender, Moroccan player Ashraf Hakimi, has confirmed that the allegations against him are unfounded.
The French newspaper Le Parisien published a statement by Fanny Collin, a lawyer for the Moroccan international defender, saying: “The accusations against Hakimi are invalid and that Hakimi is calm and ready to appear before the responsible authorities for an investigation.”
The Italian lawyer also confirmed that “the PSG administration, for its part, is behind the player and fully supports him in this issue.”
Press reports on Monday raised eyebrows when it was revealed the 23-year-old had filed a police report accusing the Parisian club star of sexually assaulting her at his home last Saturday.
She pointed out that the Moroccan international player called the girl to his home by renting an Uber car, taking advantage of the absence of his wife and two children, as they were in Dubai.
Press reports have linked the incident to Ashraf Hakimi’s absence from the Clasico against Olympique de Marseille last Sunday night due to his injury complaint.
The Moroccan player was, of course, present at the FIFA Best FIFA Football Awards in Paris on Monday.
