Norwegian star Erling Haaland continued to shine in his first season in the English Premier League with his team Manchester City.

Halland scored again in City’s 4-1 win over Bournemouth on Matchday 25 of the Premier League.

The Norwegian scored his team’s second goal in this match, which was his 27th this season in the league, and cemented his position as the tournament’s top scorer.

Haaland scored his 27th league goal this season, the most goals scored by a City player in a single season in the Premier League in almost 51 years, according to football statistics network Opta.

The network claimed that former Manchester City player Francis Lee was the last player to score 27 or more goals in a single season with City in the English Premier League and it was in the 1971–1972 season that he scored 33 goals.

Haaland is also expected to break Francis Lee’s record as the Norwegian striker has 13 league games left this season to score more goals.
